Carrie Miller lives in the Youngstown area. She is currently a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for Canfield Local Schools and the Director of a summer camp in Aurora for those who have disabilities. Carrie obtained her undergraduate and Masters degrees at Youngstown State University and her BCBA certification from Kent State University. Carrie also runs an adult social group in the Youngstown area with her friend and colleague.
Carrie lives with her husband for almost 10 years, Adam, 2 beautiful girls (6 and 3), and their family and therapy dog, Baxter. Carrie loves to spend time with her family, lift weights, and is active in their church in Poland, Ohio. Carrie grew up in Lake Milton and comes from a long line of educators, musicians and doctors. Carrie’s late mother was an Intervention Specialist and late grandmother was a Clinical Psychologist, so it makes sense that Carrie followed in this line of work, or more so, calling.
I have always had a love and expectation for those who need support to best demonstrate their abilities. My history as an educator, in addition to my years as a behavior analyst has put me in the position to not only advocate for, but research, learn, and promote the best strategies, interventions, staff and experiences for our most vulnerable. It is an honor to be a part of Tru Community, where I can do what I love for my lifelong journey of helping others, while also merging my love and faith in Christ with my practice and influence in this needed program/service. I am excited to share and spread my love for Jesus with those I can come into contact with through this venture, however I get to be involved.
