Our Story

Tru Community was founded by parents who recognized the need for services in our area and wanted to change the way people view and interact with individuals who have disabilities. It was launched by a group of advocates who felt compelled to help and who share a love for those with unique and challenging needs.

Our Purpose

As a nonprofit organization, Tru Community exists to fill this service gap with specialized programs for adults with developmental disabilities. Every offering is designed to support growth, development, and success among our exceptional population. We strive to enrich lives and create opportunities for these amazing individuals to learn, connect, and thrive. Most importantly, we aim to give them a platform to share their God-given abilities with the community - allowing others to experience the joy, authenticity, and purpose they bring...by His design.
