Routinely works Monday through Friday 7:00-9:00am & 1:30-3:00pm; hours may vary based upon the needs of our members.
Job Summary:
The Transport Driver (DSP) plays a crucial role in enabling our members to participate in a vibrant community where they can live life well and make a difference in the lives of others. As a driver, you get to share in the lives of wonderfully-made individuals and promote their quality of life by providing them with safe, timely and consistent transportation to/from Tru Community’s adult day service center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Be a positive, attentive, and caring presence in the lives of our members
-Complete daily pick-up and drop-off route in a timely, safe, and professional manner
-Adhere to all safety requirements related to the use and maintenance of vehicles
-Follow organizational procedures for incident reporting and service documentation
-Ensure the rights and dignity of individuals are respected and upheld at all times
-Be flexible, proactive and intentional in all aspects of the role
-Implement best-practices and universal precautions to ensure the safety and health of our members
-Be a team-player and contribute to a positive team culture
-Adhere to Tru Community’s employee code of conduct and core values
-Complete all job duties as instructed with integrity, honesty and excellence Be a positive, attentive, and caring presence in the lives of our member
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
-A valid Driver's License
-A passing score on driver’s abstract
-Passing the BCI/FBI background check, database checks, and drug screening
-Completion of CPR/First Aid/AED training
-Completion of DSP training and Tru Community staff training
